Worship at St Peter's this Sunday, 24 May

The present Covid-19 provisions allow us to hold gatherings of up to 10 people.

Recognising the longing that many of us have to be together with our brothers and sisters in Christ as we worship, starting this Sunday, 24 May, we will provide Sunday worship in groups of up to 10 (9 parishioners plus the presider). Through the course of the morning we will offer 5 such services of approx. 30 minutes duration.

The simple non-Eucharistic service will include confession and absolution, readings, sermon, and prayers; and will take place in the Lady Chapel.

If you wish to attend, you must register your intention by telephoning the Parish Office on (06) 358 5403 no later than 12 noon on Friday 22 May.

Registration is essential as it is our way of managing the numbers and providing the necessary contact tracing. Given the limited numbers, please be aware that you may have to be flexible about your preferred service time.

The services will commence at the following times.

8:00am
8:45am
9:30am
10:15am
11:00am.

The gap between each service is to allow for coming and going with a minimum of mingling of groups.

Please maintain appropriate physical distance as you arrive, and throughout. Seating in the Lady Chapel will be arranged accordingly. You will be asked to use hand sanitiser as you arrive and depart.

If you are unwell, please stay away.

Our pattern of posting material for worship on the website will continue in addition to these services.

It is our hope that the limitation of 10 people may soon be lifted, and we are planning for how we will operate when that occurs. We will be in touch further about when, and how, we will take the step into larger gatherings. Please do not just assume: what we are permitted to do is just the first question; after that comes finalising how we organise to do so safely.
